Psychology

Both Dr. Price and Dr. Dukes are school psychologists with extensive training in evaluation of children and adults. We specialize in assessment of autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, learning disorders, giftedness, and other mental health concerns, such as mood disorders. Dr. Dukes also specializes in adoption matters.

Dr. Dukes graduated from Tennessee State University with a Ph.D. in Psychology in 2006. She has an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Special Education from Vanderbilt University. She completed an internship in Cobb County, Georgia and postdoctoral training in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. Dr. Dukes is a licensed psychologist with a health service provider designation within the state of Tennessee, and she also holds a national certification from the National Association of School Psychologists.

Dr. Dukes has ten years of experience as a psychologist working with young children up through adolescence. She also has experience as a special education teacher and has worked with children who have learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, behavioral disabilities, and children with severe/profound special needs. Dr. Dukes has also worked as a Parent Advisor with the Tennessee Early Intervention System. She specializes in children with unique learning styles. In 2016, she was awarded the Beth Stokes Memorial award for best practices in school psychology from the Tennessee Association of School Psychologists.

Dr. Dukes lives at home with her husband, two children, and their cat and fish. She has been trained in Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI) at TCU. She pursued this training as both a professional and a parent because her daughter was adopted from China in 2014.

Dr. Price graduated from the University of Memphis with a Ph.D. in School Psychology in 2012. She completed an internship via the Louisiana School Psychology Internship Consortium and completed postdoctoral training in Tangipahoa Parish School System in Southeastern Louisiana. She is a licensed psychologist with a health services provider designation within the state of Tennessee, and she holds a national certification from the National Association of School Psychologists. Dr. Price has worked in several school districts in Louisiana and Tennessee, and she is a one of the original co-founders of Nashville Psychological Assessment and Learning Associates, Pllc.

Dr. Price has extensive experience with preschool children, assessment of autism spectrum disorders, and conducting thorough evaluations with detailed case conceptualizations. She has worked in both schools and clinic settings with individuals from age 2 through late adulthood. She is experienced in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition, which is considered a gold standard in autism assessment. She also has experienced providing direct psychological services to children and adolescents, both individually and in group settings. Dr. Price has worked closely with parents, teachers, and school staff to create a variety of behavior intervention plans to address a wide variety of problematic behaviors in many different settings.
